The Valley of Flowers is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand. Open only from July to September, it transforms into a carpet of over 500 species of wildflowers during the monsoon season. The trek also visits Hemkund Sahib, a high-altitude Sikh shrine at 14,100 ft.
